Important Update

CONFIRMATION OF THE 2021 AGM

TUESDAY 1 FEBRUARY 2022

Dear Members,

Whilst I do appreciate that some of you might still not wish to be seen gathering together, circumstances have thrown us an opportunity to hold our previously postponed AGM for last year.

Our planned speaker for the evening of 1st February has informed us that he is unable to attend as planned. Rather than trawl through our known speakers at this late stage, your committee has agreed to hold the postponed AGM on that evening. This will prevent us from trying to “squeeze-it-in” in our increasingly busy, planned schedules for 2022. There are also indications that many of the current restrictions are possibly due to be lifted in the near time-frame.

We will hold the AGM, and have a wine-n-cheese platter on that Tuesday.

I have copied this to you all, but do appreciate that not all members are on-line. If you do see other members, please do chat about the date! We will attempt to get a short newsletter out beforehand!

Happy New Year to one and all

So the new year is with us and it’s time to start on the annual gardening tasks, hopefully you have ordered and received your seeds.

Unfortunately we haven’t been able to secure anybody to run the Hut and so it is closed with immediate effect 🙁 if you liked the compost that we supplied we have discovered that it is available at Keydell Nurseries in Hordean and currently on offer at 3 bags for £12

Also the latest News letter has been distributed, if you haven’t got yours then it is available on this website.

Talking of this website, if you have any suggestions to improve it please email me and I will see what I can do. bighairyspider@outlook.com

October update

Are you ready for the new growing season ?? October is traditionally the start of the growing season so you should start your planning and to help you with your selection of seeds and plants we are happy to announce that the new Dobies catalogue is now available from Jenny Hall, and don’t forget that you get good discount on the listed prices, but you will have to act quickly.

Happy planning 🙂
